A giant explosion occurs when a star implodes creating a
ripple in the very fabric of space/time. The explosion moves
through the galaxies and to our own solar system. It moves
passed each planet until it engulfs the earth.
STUDENT 1 VO
Professor, What would happen if a
large star imploded that was close
to our sun?
PROFSSOR VO
That's a good question young man.
If a star imploded say within 100
light years of earth, the consequence
would be catastrophic! Assuming the
Gamma rays didn't kill everything,
and that Einstein was correct in his
theory, and there is no reason to
doubt that part of the theory, then
the effects of the ripple in the

He tries and tries. Finally a sound emerges as he yells for
Help. At first he doesn't recognize the sound but after a
few tries he is able to yell.
JEFFEREY FIRFAX

JEFFEREY FIRFAX (CONT'D)

(Yelling to the sky)
What the hell happen!
Jefferey stops. He is trying to remember. His mind flashes

EXT. SOMEWHERE IN THE WOODS -- CONTINUOUS
There is a strange sound, almost like a wailing. Jefferey
starts walking slowly at first, he looks this way then the
other way. He picks up the pace, then he is running. He
stops again. It looks like he is where he started walking
in the first place. He shakes his head in disbelief. He
thinks to himself there must be an answer. He starts walking
again.

Jefferey stops walking and turns the other way, trying to
decided if he should walk the other way. Then he hears
something, He strains to both look and listen. He see
someone walking down the path. The person stops.
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
Hello, who are you?
TOM JONHSON
Stay where you are!
(Shouting at Jefferey)
Man you're not real! I am tripping
out. Stop don't come any closer,
understand. You're just an
hallucination! Man if you get any
closer you will drag me out into
deep space with the others!
Jefferey stops. Holds out his hands.
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
Look I am as real as you. Do you
know what happen. Did someone drop
the Bomb?
Jefferey takes one step closer to Tom.
TOM JONHSON
No Man, no one dropped the Bomb!
The whole universe collapsed. Are
you sure you are real? I- was riding
my bike for what seems like days
except there are no more days and
nights, then my bike vanished and
you are the only person I have seen.
(In a very loud voice)
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
Look I am real, or least I think I
am. Where are we?
Jefferey moves closer to Tom. Toms slowly walks toward
Jefferey.
TOM JONHSON
Like we're here! I don't know. I
was in Jackson when the thing hit.
I saw my old lady and my main man

am driving down this road, But I
ain't going no where. Then I come
to the end of the earth. It was
unreal. I could see starts and shit
like I was in outer space. Then my
bike gets zapped as I am riding it!
(Still in a loud voice)
The two are now closer. Cautiously Tom reaches out and
touches Jefferey's arm. Tom shakes his head as he thinks to
himself, I guess you are as real as I am, and I am not sure
I am all that real.
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
I was in my office, no I was leaving
my office in Chicago. Next thing I
know I am here, running in the woods.
Are you sure you haven't seen anyone
else? We can't be the only two people
left.
TOM JONHSON
Man, there is no one else. I've
been in cities, that is half cities,
They just end, and then there is
outer space, I don't think I can
take this any more.
The two walk together a little, and Tom looks up he sees a
galaxy.
TOM JONHSON (CONT'D)
Oh man, do you see that, damn you're
bad luck.
(shouting at Jefferey)
Like now we're good as dead!
The galaxy vanishes. Tom becomes very upset.Tom drops to
the ground, in discuss.
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
Look, What is your name, mine is
Jefferey Firfax?
TOM JONHSON
I'm Tom Jonhson. Damn Jefferey what
are we going to do now?
Tom gets up, as Jefferey puts his arm on his shoulder. The
two just stand there looking at each other and looking at
their surrounding. Just then they blend into what appears
to be a galaxies for just a second or two.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.
TOM JONHSON (CONT'D)
Damn did you see that?
JEFFEREY FIRFAX
Yes.
(in a frighten voice.)
That's impossible, what we saw, I
don't understand.
(taking some deep
breaths)
Ok, look the laws of nature have
gone haywire. But we're here, there
must be others. Maybe this will all
end soon, like in, you remember
'Groundhog Day', I know we can beat
this, that's why we are here. There's
got to be a logical explanation.
The two walk slowly as they looking around, sometime stopping
for a moment or two.

(Yelling at the woman)
Jefferey starts to run towards the woman who is walking like
she has not seen them. The woman stops and looks at Jefferey.
She has a lost look on her face. Not frighten, just lost.
